UFO is also running four experience-based sessions at the DRS Festival of Emergence titled ‘Fluid Nature - Connectivity in Liminal Times’ co-led by Gunter Wehmeyer (NL) and Peter Mandeno (UK).
Covid-19 has been and is still a traumatic time for each and everyone of us. It is showing us that once-held certainties are being uprooted, that we truly life in liminal spaces where old power structures get destabilised and old rules lose their potency. As we emerge from trauma to renewal we need new tools and hybrid forms to appropriate and wholeheartedly embrace fluidity and emergence as a gift to ourselves and others.
By being in, and walking in nature for every session we will explore how to overcome the fallacy of a binary mindset, how we can embrace seasonality and connect to nature and to ourselves. Collectively we will explore practical tools enabling us moving towards a journey from inner to outer work, drinking from deeper wells and shedding of unnecessary ballast towards a collective driven approach to connectivity in design.
